I got pretty sick last year and spent 3 months in and out of hospital. It culminated in me having surgery just before Christmas which has made my illness much more manageable. In true style, I decided to celebrate the end of my pain with, well, more pain.
So why a bridge? I used to cross Hammersmith Bridge every day and I still get excited when I go over it now. Hammersmith was the first place I lived when I flew the nest to London. I saw my first gig here, and it’s full of great memories. The bridge is a beautiful piece of architecture which is why I chose it to represent the good times!
Tattoo designed and inked by the amazingly talented Dean Middleditch at Fudoshin Tattoos, London, UK. It was 3 hours of pain, especially when Dean got to the shading, but he made it a really fun 3 hours, and i’m really pleased with the result. I’m kinda sad I have to hide it away!
