Morning Fluff: When a group of Chinese cyclists came across a stray dog sleeping in the middle of the road, they gave her a drumstick, then pushed on with their 1,000-mile ride to Tibet. But to their surprise, the homeless mutt spent the next 24 days accompanying them on their trek.
Xiao Sa, or “Little Sa,” as the cyclists named her, climbed 10 mountains over 13,000 feet high, and she ran on uphill sections where many bikers prefer to take the bus.
The journey now completed, Zhang He, the cyclist who fed her the drumstick, says she is “a buddy and a friend.” He said he “would like to take the dog home and take care of her. She has been a stray on the road for a long time. She needs a home.”
AW!

Omg! This dog looks just like a dog at the dog park that I call “mystery dog” because the breed was a mystery to me.

Stupid Pet Trick of the Day: If nothing else, Oscar’s territory-marking method is certainly efficient.

Look At This Math-Solving Dog of the Day: Beau the black lab is no ordinary dog. No siree. According to his owner, David Madsen, Beau can add, subtract, divide, and even calculate square roots, all with an accuracy rate of about 85 percent. “I’ve had dogs all my life, but this dog is different,” says Madsen. “He’s super smart.”
The retired AT&T executive claims he taught Beau how to math using treats, rewarding him when the number of barks matched the number of dog biscuits. “He caught on that rewards were associated with the correct number of barks.”
Madsen denies that Beau’s talent is simply another case of the Clever Hans effect — an animal responding to subconscious cues from its trainer. He says he does not signal Beau “in any fashion,” and claims others have quizzed Beau while he was elsewhere.
